Teddy Bear Museums

Cuddly Teddy BearsTeddy bears have been around for over a century.  It is reasonable to visualize, in all that time, a number of them have been well adored and it is time to allow them to retire.  Since there is simply no old-folks home for stuffed animals they are given to enthusiasts, or a museum by sitting comfortably and be adored.

Greenfield Village and the Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, is one of the museums where a teddy bear may reside his life inside peace.  This art gallery has hundreds of items on exhibit.  There are numerous antique exhibits including some of the first teddies ever made. Be sure to see all of the exhibits, when i recall, the bears are in more than one place.

The Teddy Bear Memorial in Naples, Florida, has over several thousand bears throughout its exhibit. Nearly 40,000 visitors from around the world visit the memorial yearly.  This dream residence for teddy bears’ has numerous displays, including, vintage and limited edition bears, as well as, bear paintings, sculpture, posters and also collectibles. The art gallery highlights work simply by some of the worlds many imaginative bear creative designers working with various materials. The museum holds community events throughout the year including, teas, courses and bear shows.

The puppet, teddy bear and also toy museum, located in Germany, provides an excellent reputation for puppets and toys coming from 1845.  A special rarity is the Stiff Teddy Bear University from 1910. The Dorset Stuffed animal Museum, located in the British Empire, is a wonderful place for children and adults who still know what it is like to have fun. With such favorites as Rupert Bear, Winnie The Pooh and even today’s Television favorites, are part of a century of stuffed bear history.  If watching this exhibit encourages you to adopt a bear of your own, there’s a teddy bear shop on nearby Trinity Street.  The actual Northam House Museum associated with Early Childhood functions an antique teddy bear memorial and an antique toy museum.  There are above 700 antique and vintage teddy bears and over 200 antique lifelike dolls on display at the art gallery in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Quite a few of our soft, fluffy friends have been tossed into the trash or even destroyed by a very important factor or another over the years.  My own, personal childhood teddy, Cinnamon Bear, was dropped on a trip to a relative’s when I was young.  I have not stopped missing your pet.  Museums are a great spot to visit teddy bears in which used to belong to someone else.  The attachments all of us form to our stuffed animal  goes beyond that of every other toy. He is our own hero when the darker, night gets frightening,  our guest whenever we need a partner to play a game or sign up for our party, a companion when we are starting your very dangerous adventure plus a best friend when we are feeling sad or lonely.

I’ve often observed it said, ‘the definition of a friend is, someone who knows all of your errors and loves a person anyway.  If that doesn’t identify a teddy bear, I don’t know what would.
