how much did a covered wagon cost in 1846?
Just like cars today, the price varied depending on your options and the size of the wagon.
Somewhere between $150 to $450 in Missouri, where they cost more than they did further East. (Less competition, more demand) The supplies to make the trip to California or Oregon would double that cost, and you’d still have to buy a team of oxen or horses to pull it. It’s wasn’t a cheap trip.
